This week has been full of MAP review and MAP testing, but we are finally finished! We had plenty of fun activities this week to lighten the mood – coloring eggs, tie dying t-shirts, movies, and craft activities to name a few. Next week we will return to our regular schedule.
Thank you for sending in money and volunteering your time and supplies for the field trip and picnic. We are excited about these two events and are looking forward to a really great time.
EARTH DAY FIELD TRIP-FRIDAY APRIL 29 – Students should bring a lunch and drink from home or let us know to order a sack lunch from the cafeteria. There will be a large cooler at the capitol to keep our food in until lunch time. Students should wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen as we will be outside most of the time.
WRITING – Next week we will begin researching America’s National Parks.
READING - Next week we will be starting to look at the main causes of the American Civil War and how the nation was divided. We will identify which states were considered the "North" and which were considered the "South".
SOCIAL STUDIES – We will continue our lessons on Ancient Greek civilization.
MATH – We will begin our Design a Home project. We’ll learn about architecture as a career and practice building.
