  1. Columbus's quest for a sea route to Asia is like a school lunch because in the lunch room everyone is hopeful for a good lunch. Also, everyone is hopeful for a good sea trip! People were excited for Columbus to return with successful news. People here are excited for the time when they can go to the lunch room!

Christopher Columbus's journeys were bad and smelly.Sometimes they had bad ,terrible weather and at school are lunch is bad too(sometimes,no offense). Also they ran out of food and they wanted more and they wanted not to starve to death.Christopher Columbus was a good man and he was brave to he said to his men''We will find land and we will survive ,just carry on!!!!!!''At one point the Santa Maria sank but Columbus was brave and he carried on ,and that is how Columbus's journeys like a school cafeteria.

  3. They are both alike because the Santa Maria was loud as well as the lunchroom. Another reason they are alike is because Columbus sailed across the Atlantic Ocean and we sail around the lunchroom. They could both hold a lot of people. the Santa Maria could hold 89 men. They are both exiting because columbus had a voyage to reach land while we want to go to recess.

  4. Columbus' voyage and the school lunch room are alike because you do not know what will await you. Also, you can get sick there. They are both unpredictable. You only go if you are brave enough!

  5. The boats on Christopher Columbus's voyage were packed full of people talking, So is a school lunchroom. The people on the boat are talking about how crazy and whacky Columbus is. The kids in a school lunchroom are talking about anything they want. People are super loud on both. People of all ages on both.
FACTS: Columbus's ship left on August 3, 1492. They got to the West Indies on October 12, 1492. :D

  6. Columbus’ journey and the cafeteria are same because yo can get sick I both of them. You never know what will await you there, and you have to be brave to go. You might think there is pizza, but instead there might be spinach! If you go to it you are very brave! There are a lot of similarities.

  7. The lunch room is like Christopher Columbus's journey because they both have yelling. They also had food that wasn't high quality like the lunch room.It was also exciting on the boat for finding land like exciting for recess. It also had a lot of people on the boat and in the lunch room. These are the same quality's.

  8. Christopher Columbus' journey was long and hard. On August 3, 1492, he left Spain with three ships. A school lunchroom is like this voyage in several ways. First, we eat in a lunchroom. Of course, they had to eat on the ship, too. Another comparison is that many people have to be packed into both small room(s). Therefore, in both places there is talking and laughing. Finally, there is the air of excitement in both places. In Columbus' case, it is excitement for landing in 'China'. For us, it is excitement for recess!

  9. I think that the lunch room is like Columbus' quest because there are a lot of people(in a boat the crew and in the lunch room the students). Also there is a lot of noise. Another reason is that the food isn't always high quality.
Lastly,I think that they are both big.

  10. Christopher Columbus' quest for the a sea route like a school lunch room because they are both, well, a relaxation. They're relaxations because the yearning is a dream and while dreaming, you can take your mind off of other matters, like in this case that King John of Portugal has rejected you. A school lunch room is like a relaxation because when you are in the lunchroom, talking ad eating, you can take your mind off of school, for example, if you are waiting for test results. They are both also happy things to think about and to do. That is why I think that these two unlike things are alike

  11. Christopher Columbus's quest is like a lunch room because 1. They both were bad. Like the lunch in school is not tasty and is kind of bad and Chris's quest most have really stunk if you had to be at sea for over a month. 2. They can be good. Like on some days school lunch can be good on days and it would be fun sailing on ocean seas. 3. It is good for you. like most of the school lunch is healthy and Chris's quest took him to new land and new riches. 4. They are both cultural. School lunch can be from different countries which people like and Chris's quest took him to new and different places.

  12. Christopher Columbus's voyage is like a school lunch room because Christopher took a lot of people on his journey, a lot of people eat lunch in a school lunch room.*When Christopher was trying to get to Japan, he had to ask the natives where it was, but he had to point and use hand motions. We point the way to the lunch room to new kids.*When Christopher's ship, the Santa Maria sunk, it was like the quality of food in the lunch room.*When Christopher was sent on a mission to find gold in Japan, it was like the mission to get good lunch food in the lunch room.

  13. When we going to the lunch (lunch room) all the students are so loud, and in the shipmates are so loud too. And I think the food in our lunch is like in a ship. And we have some posters in the lunch room, but in the ship they don't have a posters but they maybe have some maps. And in the lunch room we have kitchen, and maybe in the ship's lunch room shipmates have small kitchen too.

  14. Christopher Columbus voyage is like a school journey to the lunch because some sailors were filled with dread, and sometimes we can be filled with dread on the way to the lunch room. Another reason is that they were both extremely necessary because you can't really survive without lunch, and a lot of people would not be alive if that voyage hadn't happened. Also there was people thinking of mutiny I always think of running of onto the playground without permission. Both need a lot of effort because if you don't try to eat the food you will probably not eat it, and if you were with Columbos then you would be really miserable and want to go home.

  15. Christopher Columbus’ quest for a sea route to Asia is like a school lunchroom because both take a lot of perseverance. It takes a lot of perseverance to eat something that is turkey korma that looks like bits of chicken that has been doused in orange paint. Poor sailors, they had to eat hardtack and salted meat for breakfast lunch and dinner! Columbus’ sailors thought of mutiny when they didn’t see land after about a month. You should see the comments when there has been no pizza for two weeks! If you think about it, the list could go on forever.

  16. Christopher Columbus’s voyage is like a lunchroom because there are many people at a lunchroom as well as his boat. Another reason is that if you’re new to TASIS you ask someone where the lunchroom is, Christopher Columbus asked the natives were India was. At a lunchroom you have to wait in line, and on a Christopher Columbus’s journey you have to wait until you get to India. We go to the lunchroom to satisfy our hunger and Christopher Columbus goes to India for gold. Another reason is sometimes we might think we are getting something expected at the lunchroom but we don’t, Christopher Columbus thought he was going to India but got to the Americas. Those are my reason of why Christopher Columbus’s journey is like a lunchroom.

  17. Christopher Columbus's Voyage is like a school lunch room, because their is no gold their. Just like how he got to a land and claimed it but their was no gold there either. Christopher Columbus was looking for gold at the island with the native americans were us students are looking for some decent food. Christopher Columbus begs kings and Queens to take is offer and to pay him to go on his journey, and we beg the teachers to let us go to the lunch room to get some food to eat. A lunch room is just like Christopher's Columbus ship called the Santa Maria ad the Pinta because that holds every thing he wants and the lunch room holds the food we wont to eat , even if the food is not good.

  18. Christopher Columbus’s quest for “Asia” is like a school lunchroom for many reasons. When Christopher Columbus set sail for “Asia” they were all excited, which is like how we are always excited to go to lunch. Also when we are eating lunch, sailing, there are good things and then some bad things as in no wind or no more mashed potatoes. When we are at lunch we eat dessert witch is like finding land or gold. On the sea journey they had helpers and heads of the ship like lunch ladies and teachers. Finally when we leave lunch, sailing, we will be full with food, or for Christopher gold.
